Employee perk environmental film streaming cinemaverde.org/employee-perks
STL | via PR Newswire | Gainesville, Fla. — Cinema Verde’s environmental film streaming supports employee wellness | Cinema Verde is on a mission to alleviate anxiety related to climate change, as well as to encourage conversation and environmental action. The art and environmental film festival that has been running for the past 13 years has made the films that won awards available on a brand new streaming platform.
Cinema Verde is an educational group that does not rely on donations. The independent environmental filmmakers receive one hundred percent of the subscription revenue that is generated by the channel.
Now that subscriptions to the streaming environmental film festival are made available as employee perks, businesses have the opportunity to provide access to the platform by purchasing discounted team tickets. Since the subscriptions are now available, businesses also have the opportunity to provide employee perks. Purchases of subscriptions made by enterprises as part of their benefits packages for employees may be eligible for a tax deduction.
Trish Riley, an established environmental journalist and author as well as the founding director of Cinema Verde, is the driving force behind the film selection process. Conservation of biodiversity, preservation of water quality, protection of air quality, waste reduction, and social justice are only few of the topics covered in the documentaries, short films, and feature-length films.
“Environmental awareness and education are at the core of our mission,” says Riley and adds: “Learning about different and diverse parts of our world, practicing appreciation for our natural world, and observing different insights from our eco-filmmakers is a way to inspire change in times when the state of our world could easily cause us to freeze.”
The films that are shown at the Cinema Verde festival are based on the genuine storytelling of independent filmmakers. These filmmakers either explore and offer concrete solutions to some of the many environmental challenges that we are currently facing or offer an artistic way of spreading awareness for nature and society. Independent eco-filmmakers who are featured are participating in roundtable discussions on the streaming platform and hosting question and answer sessions in the membership forum.
We Are Neutral serves as Cinema Verde’s sustainability partner, allowing the company to offer streaming services that are free of carbon emissions.
Companies are increasingly relying on remote and work-from-home teams, which means that innovative approaches to team development and employee perks are in high demand. At a time when fear over the well-being of our future can be incapacitating, Cinema Verde’s offering is an opportunity to encourage and empower employees in their desire to adopt a green lifestyle.
